Tretes waterfall is a waterfall that is located in East Java, Indonesia. It is exactly in a sub district of Jombang, Wonosalam. It is very high about 158 meters. Therefore, the visitors that firstly come to this object usually feel amazed with the height. However, this waterfall has its own beauty such as its high mountain side, its clean water, and so on. Its natural beauty is also saved. The temperature is very cold, and the air is still fresh because it is located in high territory, yeah Wonosalam. Because of the beauty, the visitors that come from around Wonosalam such Mojoagung, Peterongan, and others, even from other cities outside Jombang such as Mojokerto increase every day. In this chance, I would like to recognize you more about this waterfall.
To visit this object, if you come from Mojokerto, Surabaya, or my hometown, Mojoagung, you just need to find Mojoagung bus station, and then you slightly go straight on from Mojoagung bus station to find T-Junction or traffic light. Don’t be afraid, you’ll absolutely find Mojoagung bus station if you come from these three cities. From the T-Junction you turn left; you follow this route until you see a direction for going to Bareng, it is about 15 minutes from Mojoagung, and then turn right. Be careful the route will be ascend and curve from here. Don’t go anyway you just need to follow this route until you enter a village that names Galeng Dewo, it means you’ll arrive in this tourism object, in this village you’ll see a directive written “Air Terjun Tretes” in Bahasa Indonesia or “Tretes waterfall” in English. You slightly go straight on before entering the parking area in the right side of the street. If you come from Jombang or around it, from Kandangan market look for the direction for going to Bareng or Wonosalam, and follow it until you enter Galeng Dewo village. That will be about 30 minutes.
I actually have visited this waterfall three times guys. Yeah, in my opinion, it is an amazing and beautiful. It is suitable for you that like doing adventure because from the parking area you'll walk about 3 kilometers to achieve the waterfall. Of course it would be tiring, when I firstly visited this waterfall. However I felt amazed when I saw it guys. I just thought how high it is. It’s okay if you don’t want to walk. There are people that offer their service to drive you to this waterfall by riding a motorcycle with cheap cost Rp. 5000, 00 a person, and Rp, 5500, 00 a person for the waterfall. The tips that I can suggest to you are to bring more food, wear jacket or the others that can avoid you from cold temperature, and keep your safety.
